This story that I found on the finalcall.com highlights a news trend that I have been following for some time. Local governments are declaring that "feeding the homeless" can be an arrestable offense for the charitable party. I was reminded of it by our discussion this week about the homeless mother and daughter. We know that vagrancy can be a problem in certain areas and crime can come from a concentration of such. But, should someone be arrested for feeding these people on the street? And, if these people cannot do so then who should feed the homeless?
